We spent a dreamy morning sunflower picking on a family farm in Mississippi one recent Saturday. It was the perfect way to spend the day safely social distancing.

About Coastal Ridge Farm

Coastal Ridge Farm is located in Picayune, Mississippi (about an hour drive from New Orleans). For $12 admission (kids 11 and under get in free) you get wonder through acres full of tens of thousands of sunflowers , filling your pale with as many sunflowers that will fit! Guests are asked to bring their own pale, clippers (scissors are not strong enough to cut the big sunflowers), and are asked to wear tennis shoes. Sunflower picking is offered seasonally, in the Spring and Fall. There are also plenty of wild flowers too! Tickets can only be purchased online. It is a lovely time!

Such a nice morning spending time with family! If you are looking for something different to do, I highly recommend making the drive to Picayune and visiting Coastal Ridge Farm. With it’s nice open fields with plenty of room to roam and its tens of thousands of beautiful flowers waiting for you to pick them, it’s a unique and memorable experience!
