A Sunny Rose Garden Transformation

The front of our house has no shade at all. It is sunny most of the day. I wanted to plant something in our cute little side garden that would last and could withstand the nonstop sunlight beating down on the area all day. The best option: Roses! They are durable and easy keepers.

Our little side rose garden welcomes guests to our house.
Here’s what the garden looked like before…in need of some TLC!
After! What a beautiful transformation!
I weeded the beds and my aunt took the plants she wanted for her house. Then I bought 15 knockout roses in a vibrant dark pink color. I purchased them at Lowe’s and discovered if they die in the first year I get a refund! Hopefully that won’t happen!
Lon laid down the landscaping cloth on the ground before we covered it with river pebbles. This step is so important because it keeps weeds from popping out!
We laid 25 bags of river pebbles we bought at Home Depot and they really make the garden pop!
As long as you are wearing sun glasses! This spot is sunny all day long which makes it ideal for roses.

Thanks for checking out my rose garden! It is such a nice and vibrant addition to the front entrance. If you do not have a green thumb like me, get roses!
