Farmhouse Reno: Downstairs Before and Afters!

The interior of our farmhouse reno is complete! I am beyond happy and excited for how it all turned out!! “Fox Hill” was beautiful before, but now with a fresh coat of paint, refinished floors, kitchen tile, new lighting, and a few other changes, my favorite house in the world really fits my vision and style! Thank you to all who helped make my dream come true.

Shoutout to: Coker Custom Floors, John Williams (tile), Dave Ruth of Dave Electric, Jerry Williams Paints, Jarod Sanders (refinished dining table).

Check out these before and afters and let me know what you think in the comments below!

BEFORE: this was my aunt’s formal living room. It was the room we celebrated Christmas in every year. It was very fancy and pretty, but not quite my style…
AFTER! We opened up the wall to connect the room to the back of the house. This is now our main living area. As you can see…our dog Scout is making herself right at home!
BEFORE: cute Farmhouse kitchen then…
AFTER: and cute farmhouse kitchen now! Just added subway tile and paint to transform the room. It looks great!
BEFORE: kitchen island
AFTER: added a light over island, electrical outlet on island and created a coffee station. It really lightens things up!
BEFORE: Dining room
AFTER! New chandelier, and shout out to Jared Sanders for refinishing table! It looks bright and just how I wanted it! Love it!
BEFORE
AFTER! Don’t you love the fun Sputnik chandelier?! Light and bright is my theme.
BEFORE
AFTER! Kennedy’s playroom! It is perfect and she loves it just as much as I do. I added a new chandelier for more lighting. As you can see, the new opening on the right connects this room with the living room. Really opens the house up.
BEFORE
AFTER! Bye, bye stencils! I really love how the entry turned out.
BEFORE
AFTER! The mudroom/zen room

I still can’t believe we completed our reno! Special thank you to my Aunt (and now neighbor!) Geri Campbell. Her new house looks beautiful and she incorporated her style perfectly there. We have all worked so hard to make “the great move of 2020” happen, and I am so thankful it did! My heart is full!

Me and Kennedy helping my aunt feed the horses down at the barn.

Thank you for following along! We will be working on exterior projects now. Windows, gates, the driveway, rose garden, work ring, and more will be revamped and repaired. This is a never ending projects and I love it!

We started purging in the basement and then worked our way upstairs. It’s amazing how much stuff people accumulate over the years. Looking at the pictures reminded me that every item was either donated, sold, or moved! Thankful it is finished!
    Love, MiMi
