Relocating an Old Rock Jump

Around 30 years ago, my aunt made a pretty horse jump out of big rocks found around the farm. Over time, the jump sank a little in the ground and got covered by branches from overgrown trees. I always loved that jump. I talked to my aunt and she gave us our blessing to unearth it and move it to a more visible spot. I’m so glad we did!

We cut back the overgrown tree limbs to reveal the old rock jump my aunt made about 30 years ago. It’s made of big pretty rocks found around the farm.
But the old heavy rocks were sinking in the ground. I didn’t want it to eventually disappear! So I got the idea to move the rock jump to the front entrance of our circle drive.
Piece by heavy piece we (mostly Lon!) moved the rock jump to it’s new location at the top of our circle.
It looks beautiful here and it’s so nice knowing it will be preserved for all to see for many more years to come!
