From City Lights to Starry Nights: We are Moving!

We are moving to Fox Run Farm! After 11 fun and memorable years of living in the beautiful and magical city of New Orleans, Lon, Kennedy and I are packing our bags and moving to the farm in Georgia! Dreams really do come true.

The stars truly aligned perfectly for this moment to happen. The farmhouse my dad helped build for my grandmother and aunt in 1979 will be the place we call home. We are going to lovingly bring new life into this magical house that has meant so much to me and my entire family. My little equestrian Kennedy will have a life surrounded by horses, sheep, trails, and family. I am grateful beyond words.

Here she is! Fox Hill is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom Saltbox-style home built by my late father in 1979. We bought the house from my aunt, who is building her new adorable house on the property while we renovate this one! Stay tuned for many farmhouse(s) before and after posts!
Easter 1981: me (in the stroller), my dad, and my sister heather shortly after the house was built.
This house holds so many memories for me and my entire family. It is such an honor that now my little family will get to lovingly call this place home. Time to make more memories here!
Fox Run Farm bound! We will be helping my aunt out with all the chores on the farm. Kennedy will have a life full of horses, sheep, trails, and family. We are grateful beyond words.
Neighbors soon! Aunt Gigi, Moe, me and Kennedy. Thank you Gigi ❤️
Horses have played such an important role in my life, and I’m so excited my daughter will get to experience a true equestrian life, too! She loves horses just like her mom…and that makes my soul sing!
Fox Run Farm is the most beautiful place in the world to me and I cannot wait to start this new chapter of my life.

From city lights to starry nights! We are trilled to be moving to the farm. Right now, we are selling our house in New Orleans (it recently went up on the market and is under contract). After it sells we will be moving to a temporary home in Georgia while we fix up the farmhouse. Oh my word! Follow along as we embark on our new adventure and settle into our new life on the farm.

In closing, I’d like to say…New Orleans, we love you. You nourished my soul in ways no other city could. I will forever cherish all the memories made and life long friendships that formed during our 11 years here. You made me the woman I am today. You are a truly magical, wonderful, perfectly imperfect city. No place in the world holds a candle to you. You are unique in the most wonderful way.

Special thanks to all the nonprofits who entrusted me to serve as their emcee for their fundraiser galas, walks, and special events over the years. It was a true honor you chose me to help further your causes. So many fun memories for great causes!

I’m so proud that my daughter will always be a born New Orleans native! And as she gets older, we will make sure she continues to create her own New Orleans memories.

Mardi Gras 2019. Mardi Gras time is fun for the entire family.

As we like to say in New Orleans: Laissez les bons temps rouler!! (Let the good times roll!)

Fox Run Farm, our forever home, here we come!
